Steve Basdavanos

I was not
particularly interested in team sports when I was young then a
college coach introduced me to Olympic lifting and power lifting.
These two sports had the right balance of individual challenge and
effort with an element of competition that had the right amount
of detachment. It was more important for me to do the best that I
could do than to beat someone else. I concentrated on Olympic
lifting for ten years subsequently shifting my interest to power
lifting.
Currently I work out to stay healthy. After receiving
my first national certification from ACE in 1996 I began working
full time as a trainer. Here at Rock Creek I work with clients who
want to concentrate on improving their quality of
life. Additionally I have worked with clients who have had a
variety of health issues including: rotator cuff problems, knee
issues.
In 2010 Steve Received honors from Bethesda Magazine for being one of the area's top trainers.
Steve is a graduate of the University of Maryland, and has a Master's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is certified by ACE and NSCA. He is available by appointment only.
